Letrozole (Femara)

What it does:

Letrozole (Femara) is a potent aromatase inhibitor (AI) that significantly reduces estrogen production in the body. It is highly effective at eliminating estrogenic side effects such as gynecomastia, water retention, and bloating during anabolic steroid use. It is considered one of the strongest AIs available and can completely suppress estrogen levels when used at higher doses.

Normal Applications:

Medically prescribed to treat hormone-sensitive breast cancer in postmenopausal women, Letrozole has found use in bodybuilding for managing high estrogen levels. It is often used during cycles involving heavily aromatizing compounds like testosterone or Dianabol, especially when other AIs are not strong enough.

Common Side Effects:

Due to its potency, Letrozole can easily cause estrogen levels to drop too low, leading to joint pain, mood swings, fatigue, and decreased libido. It can negatively affect cholesterol and may interfere with muscle growth and recovery if overused. Letrozole is not typically used during PCT.

Administration Recommendations & Ideal Dosages:

Typical dosages range from 0.25–0.5 mg every other day, adjusted based on estrogen sensitivity and compound dosage. It is often introduced mid-cycle when signs of estrogen-related side effects appear. Bloodwork is strongly recommended to fine-tune dosing and avoid over-suppression.
