Nolvadex (Tamoxifen Citrate)

What it does:

Nolvadex (Tamoxifen Citrate) is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) used to block estrogen receptors in breast tissue. It is primarily utilized to prevent or treat gynecomastia and restore natural testosterone production after a steroid cycle. Nolvadex helps regulate hormonal balance without suppressing endogenous testosterone like aromatase inhibitors can.

Normal Applications:

Medically prescribed for the treatment and prevention of estrogen-receptor-positive breast cancer, Nolvadex is widely adopted in bodybuilding as a core component of post-cycle therapy (PCT). It also serves as an anti-estrogenic agent during cycles that involve aromatizing compounds.

Common Side Effects:

Nolvadex is generally well tolerated but may cause hot flashes, mood swings, nausea, or visual disturbances in some users. Rarely, it may affect liver enzymes or increase clotting risk. It does not completely eliminate estrogen but blocks its effects selectively in breast tissue.

Administration Recommendations & Ideal Dosages:

For PCT, typical dosages begin at 40 mg daily for 1–2 weeks, followed by 20 mg daily for an additional 2–4 weeks. Some users may also use 10–20 mg during a cycle to manage estrogen levels. It is often paired with Clomid or used as a standalone PCT for milder cycles.
